The ‘official’ Bio
My Learning Company, Outperform
the stepping stones
Leadership and Communication Facilitator
I’m the cofounder of a boutique learning company called Outperform, through which, for over a decade, I’ve been helping established and emerging leaders improve their communication, storytelling and leadership skills so they can build trust, and have greater impact.
Leaders have gotten secondments, promotions, and led teams to success through our work together, as they’ve learnt to shape minds, shift hearts, and move others to action.
At the core of my work is a focus on an inner mindset and emotional shift. Participants and clients have often said that our work together helped them become not only better storytellers and communicators, but also better people.

Masters in Law
to think like a lawyer
but live like a peacemaker…
- I hold a Masters in Law from Kings College London, specializing in International Business Law.
- I worked on a case at the Supreme Court of London under Kings Counsel Toby Landau, and then returned to India after my Dad had an emergency heart operation when he came to visit me in London.
- I briefly worked at one of the top corporate law firms in India, taught contract law as a part-time professor with a law school, was an integral part of a team that helped an international health company set up base in India, and then discovered the field of Learning and Development. I fell in love with the industry and the ability to impact lives.
- This legal foundation helps me across all business and creative endeavours, and I also occasionally do private dispute resolution and crisis mediation on request. I truly believe that conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional. (and almost always, the more costly and frustrating choice)
All The World’s a Stage
kitchen and soul
Actor, Producer, Writer, Director
The Arts have always been a big part of my life, and my mantra is one for the kitchen, and one for the soul.
At the age of 9, I acted in a musical theatre production Written and Directed by my father called ‘Angelina’, where I toured across India and performed 27 sold out, house-full shows over 3 years.
This was my first tryst with theatre.
Since then, I’ve played the lead in several Musical and Non-Musical Plays. My favourite characters were from Fiddler on the Roof (I played Tevye, the male lead 🙂 All girls school!) and Chicago (I played Velma Kelly essayed by Catherine Zeta Jones).
At 16, I gathered all my friends together and directed a production called ‘Elixir’. The show completely sold out, so we did an Elixir 2, the following year, and all the proceeds went to charity.
I also danced professionally with a company for over 6 years (think 6 am rehearsals every morning!) and acted in two Feature Films and 1 short film
My book of poems called ‘Words to Love and to Hold’ was published in 2023.

Filmmaking
Everyone thought I was crazy but…
the will must be stronger than the skill
- With no education or background in filmmaking, I marched along with a nervous gulp in my throat, and I went on to write, direct, and act in my feature film called Project Papa.
- It all started when I realised my Dad was growing older and I wanted to make a movie with, and for my father. We both play the father-daughter leads, and it was an unforgettable journey.
- It all started with me making a short film titled Call Dad Now, where I interviewed 30 fathers and daughters. This went viral overnight and got picked up by global media houses. (unfortunately a year later our youtube channel got deleted due to an admin error and we had to reupload the video. But #TellThemNow Message was already spread far and wide.)
- The movie went on to win awards at 7 International film festivals, had a theatre release across 7 cities in India, and then got picked up and streamed by Netflix worldwide (175 countries) from June 2020 to June 2023. It is currently available to watch on Itunes and Google Play.
- I also received the FICCI Flo Award (2018) for Creative Excellence and the Best Debutante Director Award at a Film Festival in Glasgow.
Beyond the paper resume, there lies a learning human
The ‘human’ bio
God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you 🎶
- I’ve lived with both abundance and lack
- I’ve been betrayed, hurt, and ghosted
- I’ve struggled with both my body, and my mind. Anxiety became a comfort blanket, fear my constant companion, and weight my constant complain
- For many years, I chose self abandonment over self connection
- The world has seen me as a confident girl of many dreams but I’ve often hidden in my shadows and felt unworthy to be seen
- The pandemic, motherhood, shifting homes and many life changes stacked upon each other made me lose myself completely and question everything about myself that I once knew to be true
- I’m a recovering people pleaser getting better at saying NO, and realising that it’s a full sentence
- I realised that none of my achievements would make me happy or worthy. This work was internal
- In my darkest days, I wrote a book called “Love the Crap Out of You” which was about my journey to self love. It’s on my desk, still to be published. I’ve been holding it close
- I’ve lived for years with the nagging frustration that I was living way below my potential
- I went through 3 years of massive indecision, confusion and lack of self-trust. My professional and business life suffered because of it.
But I knew I could rewrite my story. I realized that none of my achievements would make me happy or worthy. This work was internal.
I firmly believe that our lives are governed by our Conditioned Responses and Patterns (CRAP™) that often keep us trapped in cycles of self-limitation. The path to empowerment and success lies in rewiring these patterns.
I embarked on a journey of self-connection, self-leadership and self-coaching. Through intensive research, a relentless pursuit of knowledge, and obtaining global certifications and mentorship in life coaching, confidence, mindset, and personal growth, I embarked on a mission to transform my mess into a message.
I knew I wasn’t alone in how I felt and that I was assigned that mountain to show others it could be moved.
Elevation though comes with a lot of isolation, and I knew that if I had a likeminded group of humans growing through what they were going through, the journey for me would have been so much more fulfilling and so much less lonely.
I wanted to make this process simpole, uncomplicated, and fun, because it truly is!
I really want to help you Re-write your story, and thats how my book, the BYOB workshop, and the 4 step Rewrite were born.
I’m hungry to connect and inspire and I hope you step into my world, and stay a while, for what’s to come.
