I’m Kanikka,
And I love a good story!
I am genuinely interested in the faded memories of my parents’ friends, mesmerized by the corporate tales of the slightly buzzed business traveller at the airport bar, enamoured by the longwinded life story of the artist on the beach, and I am (probably far too) interested in the misadventures of my own life—the mountain tops, the valleys, and the rollercoasters in between.
To me, stories aren’t just entertaining, although that helps; they’re an opportunity for connection and a tool for understanding. They are the one thing we all share in common—and when we tell them well, we make meaning of our lives individually and collectively.
So, I tell stories— in my newsletter, my blog, my podcast, on stages—to understand and make meaning of the lives we lead . . . and to remember that we’re all a lot more connected than we think.
Let my stories help you rewrite yours!
Hi Beautiful Reader,
Everything is always changing.
I’m so glad this site found you!
I reckon you’re a person of many dreams, who is yearning to live up to your full potential and to embrace both the rainbows and the rain, and to take life and all it’s lemons with a pinch of salt (and maybe some tequila).
Think of me as your companion on your journey back home to you, your guide on your way to growth and self-belief, and the girl next door who shares with you learnings from the people she’s privileged to know and meet.
I’m a mom to two little girls who knows deeply that the best gift I can give them is the gift of my best self. And so through all my scars and brokenness, I strive to think, feel and live better everyday.
Life is short. It’s bizarrely fragile. This time on earth is a gift, and the onus is upon us to live our best life – a life that creates impact, spreads joy, gives hope, and speaks love.
I’ve always said that
One person’s recipe, could be someone else’s meal 🥙
yours truly, kanika
One person’s music, could help someone feel 🎶
One person’s writing, could help someone heal ✍️
And so here I am.
Letting go of my tired stories that helped me hide for so long, to share my gift of constant growth, learning, knowledge, poetry and of words, with you.
Make yourself at home. You belong here and I am happy to call you my friend. Get yourself a glass of wine or some coffee, and get comfortable, as there is a lot of encouragement for you to explore here.
You have amazing potential within you and it is my prayer that I will help fuel you with the courage and confidence to cultivate it and to live life beautifully.
I appreciate you being here, and I hope you stay awhile for what’s to come!
Much Love,
Kanikka
